Councilwoman Laura Pastor Named Honorary Co-Chair of 17th-Annual one-n-ten Fresh Brunch
Councilwoman Laura Pastor Named Honorary Co-Chair of 17th-Annual one-n-ten Fresh BrunchPHOENIX — District 4 Councilwoman Laura Pastor has been named Honorary Co-Chair for one-n-ten’s 17th Annual Fresh Brunch, the organization’s largest annual fundraiser supporting LGBTQIA+ youth across Arizona. Fresh Brunch brings together community leaders, advocates, and supporters to celebrate progress while investing directly in programs that provide connection and opportunity for LGBTQIA+ young people. Proceeds from the event support one-n-ten’s year-round services, including youth development programs, health and wellness resources, housing support, and safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ youth across the state. “I am honored to serve as Honorary Co-Chair for this year’s Fresh Brunch,” said Councilwoman Pastor. “Fresh Brunch brings our community together to reflect on the progress we’ve made while investing in programs that ensure LGBTQIA+ youth feel supported, respected, and able to thrive. Every young person deserves a place where they are safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.” Councilwoman Pastor has long supported one-n-ten’s mission and youth-focused initiatives. In 2024, she participated in the organization’s Dancing for one-n-ten fundraiser, where she helped raise more than $10,000 in support of programs serving LGBTQIA+ youth. She has continued to champion equity and access through her public service, including advancing inclusive public health initiatives as co-chair of the Phoenix Fast-Track Cities Ad-Hoc Committee. These initiatives focus on expanding HIV programs and leveraging resources in order to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. Organizations like one-n-ten play a vital role in strengthening communities by providing young people with resources, mentorship, and affirming environments that foster confidence and opportunity. “I hope our community will join us in supporting one-n-ten and helping make this year’s Fresh Brunch a meaningful and lasting investment in Arizona’s youth,” Pastor said. Fresh Brunch will bring together supporters from across Arizona to celebrate community impact and raise critical funds to sustain programs serving LGBTQIA+ youth statewide. This year’s brunch takes place on Sunday, March 22, at the Phoenix Convention Center. For more information about Fresh Brunch or to learn how to participate, visit https://aesaz.co/ELP/ONETEN26/ |
