Join the City of Phoenix in Recognizing May as Mental Health Awareness Month
The City of Phoenix is proud to recognize May 2026 as Mental Health Awareness Month. The City reaffirms its commitment through the "Mental Health Matters" campaign, which supports mental wellness for all residents, reduces the stigma surrounding mental health, and provides connections to vital supports and resources.
Mental health is part of our everyday lives—shaping how we think, feel, connect, and navigate challenges—and prioritizing it strengthens the resilience of individuals, families, and the broader community.
All month, Phoenix City Hall’s exterior will be illuminated green in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.
On May 14, the City will be hosting a Mental Health and Wellness Resource Fair open to the public from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Helen Drake Senior Center (7600 N. 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85051).
On May 20, the public is also invited to join a suicide prevention webinar from 6 – 7:30 p.m. focused on teens hosted by the City in collaboration with Teen Lifeline. Registration is available online.
All month, the City will feature a gallery with Mental Health Awareness artwork created by Phoenix teens in the City Hall Atrium. The gallery is open to the public during regular business hours.
