The Green Book - Black History Month
For 30 years, the Green Book was a travel advisory that gave black Americans advice on places to stay and eat during the Jim Crow era in the United States. The Green Book had listings for the entire country, North, south, east and west. Any area where African-Americans might feel prejudice or even danger. Phoenix had numerous listings in the Green Book as well. Three of those listings are still standing today.
