Phoenix Hosts Airborne Public Safety Conference 2025
The City of Phoenix welcomed aviation and public safety professionals from across the country for the Airborne Public Safety Association’s 2025 Airborne Public Safety Conference (APSCON), an event dedicated to the advancement of airborne law enforcement and emergency response.
Held in the heart of Phoenix, this year’s conference brought together industry leaders, public safety agencies and aviation experts in both manned and unmanned public safety education to exchange best practices, explore the latest technologies and collaborate on strategies that enhance airborne support in policing and emergency services.
The conference also highlighted the Phoenix Police Department’s Air Support Unit, allowing attendees to get an up-close look at the department’s aircraft and hear firsthand about the unit’s critical role in local operations.
“This is an opportunity for the City of Phoenix to showcase all that we have to offer,” said Phoenix PD Assistant Chief Brian Lee, “as well as the air support unit for the Phoenix Police Department.”
As a national conference, ASPCON brought together professionals from coast to coast, offering a unique opportunity for departments from different jurisdictions to connect, share ideas and address challenges specific to airborne operations.
“By bringing together public safety professionals from across the country, we’re able to share insights, discuss industry-specific concerns and leave with new strategies and tools to support our communities more effectively,” Lee said.
Phoenix’s role as host city not only demonstrated its leadership in public safety innovation but also reinforced its commitment to collaboration and excellence in service.
