The donation is part of the annual award ceremony held on Friday, November 13, 2020 recognizing members of the Reserve Division. The ceremony at Chase Field includes Mayor Kate Gallego, Councilman Michael Nowakowski, and Police Chief Jeri Williams. <br><br>The foundation's Board of Directors, in partnership with Courtesy Chevrolet, is donating the three new Chevrolet Tahoe SUV's and one specially wrapped Chevrolet Camaro coup. <br><br>“The Phoenix Police Reserve officers are an integral component of the city's policing plan and work alongside the Phoenix Police Department to ensure the safety of the Phoenix residents," said Derrick Hall, president & CEO of the Arizona Diamondback and president of the PPRF Board of Directors. <br><br>“We're incredibly grateful for their contributions to the community and wanted to ensure they're not only receiving the recognition they deserve but also have the equipment needed to serve."<br><br>The Phoenix Police Reserve Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization operated by a board of directors comprised of civic and business leaders within the community. The foundation works closely with Phoenix Police Department leadership within the Reserve Division.<br><br>The Phoenix Police Department Reserve Division is comprised of more than 120 sworn reserve police officers who independently perform the same police duties as full-time career police officers, on a volunteer basis. Reserve police officers are required to volunteer 240 hours of police services each year, attend four quarterly meetings, complete four special police enforcement events, and complete all police department training and proficiency requirements.
