Phoenix launches a Citywide food drive to assist residents experiencing food insecurity during the holidays.
Celebrate Sesame Street Week at Phoenix Public Library
Phoenix Public Library invites families to join the fun during Sesame Street Week, taking place November 10–15, at select library locations across the city. This weeklong celebration highlights everyone’s favorite neighborhood and the joy, learning, and friendship that Sesame Street has brought to generations.
Throughout the week, families can enjoy themed programs, hands-on activities, and story times inspired by the beloved television series. From creative workshops and crafts to sing-along story times and puppet tea parties, there are activities for all ages to enjoy.
Visitors to Burton Barr Central Library can also explore special displays celebrating the history of Sesame Street and Arizona’s own Joan Ganz Cooney, co-founder of the Children’s Television Workshop (now Sesame Workshop) and co-creator of Sesame Street.
