Phoenix Public Library Launches Indoor Farm Express Markets in Partnership with Activate Food Arizona

Newsroom_Library_001 - Newsroom_Library_FarmExpress

Phoenix Public Library is proud to partner with Activate Food Arizona to bring the Farm Express Mobile Market indoors at select library branches. This collaboration makes it easier for community members to shop for fresh produce in trusted public spaces, connecting families and individuals to healthy options where they already come to learn, explore, and grow.

The Palo Verde Library location marks an exciting new addition to the Farm Express route. The first indoor market at this branch will launch on Thursday, August 7, expanding access to nutritious food in a familiar neighborhood setting.

Partnership Overview

Activate Food Arizona and its Farm Express Mobile Market are on a mission to reduce food insecurity throughout the state. Their work goes beyond food distribution, they’re committed to empowering individuals to make their own food choices and fostering stronger, more connected communities.

Since launching, the organization has helped more than 100,000 Arizonans, in both urban and rural areas, gain better access to fresh, affordable food.

Through this new partnership, library visitors can shop for affordable produce indoors on scheduled days. SNAP/EBT and Double Up Food Bucks are accepted, allowing customers to buy one, get one free. Cash and card payments are welcome, too.
