Phoenix launches a Citywide food drive to assist residents experiencing food insecurity during the holidays.
Christmas Tree Drop-off Sites Open December 26
The Phoenix Public Works Department will accept live Christmas trees, wreaths, and garlands to be recycled at no charge at various City of Phoenix Parks. Christmas tree drop-off spots will be available from December 26, 2025 through January 9, 2026. The trees will ultimately be composted at the 27 th Avenue Compost Facility. Composting these organic items keeps waste out of landfills and removes potentially dry fire hazards from your home.
This program is only for live items – not plastic artificial trees. All trees must be free of lights and decorations to ensure a clean end product at the Compost Facility. Plese follow all tree disposal requirements.
Trees should be placed only within the marked areas at the following parks:
- Cactus Park
- Cesar Chavez Park
- Deer Valley Park
- Desert Foothills Park
- Desert West Park
- El Reposo Park
- Los Olivos Park
- Madison Park
- Marivue Park
- Mountain View Park
- Mountain Vista Park
- Paradise Valley Park
- Sereno Park
- Washington Park
Public Works offers other disposal options for Christmas trees, including transfer station drop-offs and bulk trash collection.
