Swim Team

​​The City of Phoenix Recreational Swim Team is a six-week program designed to enhance and improve swimming strokes for children ages 5 to 17. Participants are broken up into three age groups to practice and then compete in recreational meets against teams from other city pools. Practices include one hour of instruction four days per week (Monday through Thursday), with swim meets on Thursday at 7 p.m. at various pools.

Prerequisites: Participants must be able to swim 25 meters continuously using any one of the four competitive strokes.

Dive Team

The City of Phoenix Recreational Dive Team is a six-week program designed to enhance and improve diving skills for children ages 5 to 17. Teams participate in recreational meets against teams from other city pools, competing based on age group. Practices include one hour of water instruction and may include 15 minutes of dry land warm-ups four days per week (Monday through Thursday), with dive meets on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at various pools.

Prerequisites: Participants must be comfortable swimming in deep water and be able to do a forward jump, backward jump and forward dive.
