Effective August 2, 2021, a mask or face covering will be required when inside a city facility, regardless of vaccination status.​​​​<br></p><p>The city's indoor and out​door recreation facilities are open​​. That includes all community and recreation centers, parks, trails, sports complexes, golf courses and <a href="/pgm">Pueblo Grande Museum</a>. Open during the summer months, City of Phoenix pools are a great place to learn how to swim, attend a special event, exercise or just cool off.


City of Phoenix pools will be OPEN in summer 2021​​ ​

Select city pools opened May 29 for the summer season. Details listed below.


General Information about Summer 2021 



In 2021, City of Phoenix pools will offer FREE swim lessons for youth ages 3 to 12, and open swim hours for all ages and abilities.

Sunnyslope Pool is CLOSED due to unexpected repairs.

Roadrunner Pool​ is open as an alternative location.

Pools
Phoenix's public pools are open six days a week seasonally from Memorial Day weekend (May 29) through July (closed Fridays), and on weekends only in August through Labor Day

The following pools will be open during summer 2021 - Cortez, Deer Valley, El Prado, Encanto, Falcon, Maryvale, Paradise Valley, Pecos, Perry, Starlight, Sunnyslope and University.

New in summer 2021, El Prado, Encanto, Maryvale, Paradise Valley, Starlight and Roadrunner pools will be open on weekends only throughout the month of September. 


Splash Pads
City splash pads are open seasonally the last Saturday in May through October 1, and are located in Altadena, Civic Space, Dust Devil, Edison, Francisco Highland, Mountain Vista, Nuestro, Pecos and Trailside Point parks

A splash pad also is located in the Fiesta Bowl PLAY at Hance Park and in CityScape Park in downtown.
