FitPHX is a citywide health initiative created in 2013 by Mayor Greg Stanton, Councilman Daniel Valenzuela and Olympic Gold Medalist Misty Hyman, with the goal of improving health and wellness in the region and making the Phoenix area one of the healthiest in the nation. The initiative has created innovative collaborations between government, private sector, non-profits and universities to develop programming that gives residents tools and education to be healthier.


Summer 2018 Free Indoor Fitness Programs


FitPHX has partnered with AARP Arizona and the Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA to offer free, indoor fitness programs to the community this summer.

  • Summer Fitness Boot Camp: Every Monday - June 25 to August 6 from 6 to 7 p.m., in the A.E. England Building at Civic Space Park.

  • Fall into Fitness: Every Tuesday - June 19 to August 7 from 6 to 7 p.m., at the A.E. England Building in Civic Space Park. Register

  • WalkPHX Wednesdays: Every Wednesday - June 20 to August 8 from 5:15 to 7 p.m., at the Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA's ASU Sun Devil's Indoor Fitness Track. Register
