Riparian habitats are streams of life in our arid state. We must protect these rare areas and the wildlife that depend on them.
<div class="ExternalClassECFD139778FC4955B9312ABAC2221413"><div>Visit wetlands, streams, lakes and springs to see Arizona's important riparian habitats like <a href="/waterservices/tresrios">Phoenix' Tres Rios Wetland</a>. </div><div><br></div><div>Remember that in riparian habitats, toxic compounds are filtered out of water and plants stabilize stream bank soil. </div><div><br></div><div>Pick a riparian area to study. Take note of how it is used and how it changes over time.</div></div>
