Holiday Collection Schedule

Changes in collection day only occur on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. During the rest of the holidays, Public Works staff will be working to collect your trash and recycling as regularly scheduled.

Holidays with NO Change in Collection Day

As a reminder, Public Works staff will be working to collect trash and recycling as regularly scheduled for the following holidays (no change in collection day), but city transfer stations will be closed to the public:

Martin Luther King Day
Presidents Day
Cesar Chavez Day
Memorial Day
Juneteenth
Independence Day
Labor Day
Indigenous Peoples' Day
Veterans Day

Holidays with a Change in Collection Day

Solid waste collections will not be provided on Thanksgiving Day (November 26, 2026). For customers with collection normally scheduled on Thursday, trash and recycling will be collected on Friday, November 27. Friday collection that week will happen on Saturday, November 28.

Solid waste collections will not be provided on Christmas Day (Friday, December 25, 2026). Residents with a Friday collection day will have trash and recycling collected on Saturday, December 26.

Solid waste collections will not be provided on New Year’s Day (Friday, January 1, 2027). Residents with a Friday collection day will have trash and recycling collected on Saturday, January 2.
