This on-going temporary project began in 2004 in which each year work by a selection of visual artists and or poets is displayed on large scale lexan panels along the 7th Avenue and Melrose curve. The double-sided panels are backlit for night viewing. The artists' works are displayed for approximately one to two years. Besides providing a changing urban gallery for the community and merchants, this project provides an entry into the public art process and experience with the commissioning process for Arizona artists who have not previously had a commission from the Office of Arts and Culture.
