Billian's multi-media ceiling sculpture uses a sequence of overhead lighting and raw copper sheets to contrast the eroded geology of the Southwest with the well-organized layout of airport runways. The sculpture includes native copper with characteristic eroded edges and specially manufactured cobalt blue light fixtures to mimic runway lights at night. ​
