​The artist, Louis Mueller was commissioned to design gate and fence panels for three of the city's multi-generational facilities.  According to Mueller, the steel panel designs were influenced by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and Piet Mondrian and were created in response to Mueller's impression of the architecture of the buildings.  The panels were fabricated by Arizona artists Lyle London and Gary Slater.​
