Request for Proposals for Temporary Public Art Project
Deadline to Register: August 16, 2018 by 5 p.m.
The Water Public Art Challenge is seeking collaborative temporary public art projects that build connectivity between cultures through creative expression.
Projects should honor the legacy of the Hohokam People, whose irrigation engineering and agricultural achievements delivered water, creating the foundation for life in the Valley of the Sun.
The five winning teams will be announced at a celebratory event on November 8, 2018. Each Winner will receive awards of $50,000. The event will also provide the Finalists an opportunity to showcase their proposed projects.

The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture’s Public Art Program is requesting submissions from artists of all experience levels to design improvements at 6 City of Phoenix Well Sites at multiple locations throughout Phoenix. Selected artists can expect to work with a variety of design professionals including landscape architects, engineers, and city staff from various departments including the Water Services and the Office of Arts and Culture. Enhancement to locations can include but is not limited to trees, xeriscaping, pathways, fencing, walls, gates, sculpture, etc. Enhancements will serve to not only improve the appearance of the site, but to also improve safety and security at the location.
