How Do I Get a Business License?

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Currently, the public must schedule an appointment to conduct business at City Hall, including License Services. Please contact License Services at 602-262-4638 to schedule your appointment. Staff is also available to assist you via telephone and can direct you to online and email resources, where available.


 

NOTICE: Processing of Special Event Liquor License Applications Temporarily Suspended

Based on the latest guidelines to practice social distancing issued by the Center for Disease Control (including a call to avoid social gatherings in groups of more than 10 people) and direction from the City Manager’s Office, the City Clerk Department – License Services Office will temporarily suspend the processing of Special Event Liquor License Application approvals. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact License Services at 602-262-4638 or at liquor@phoenix.gov.

 

The City of Phoenix does not have or issue a general business license. Only certain activities are regulated and require a license or require a recommendation/approval from the City.
