The City of Phoenix is dedicated to improving the quality of life for older adults by becoming an Age-Friendly Community.

in 2016, the City of Phoenix partnered with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Arizona and the World Health Organization (WHO) to become an AARP Age-Friendly Community

Building on successful systems already in place and best practices from around the country, the City of Phoenix is foc​used on providing opportunities in the areas of Civ​ic Engagement; Employment; and Social Par​ticipation for residents of all ages. ​
