Scammers and Fraudsters have been calling or sending people fake and fraudulent text messages and emails that have been made to look like they are from the City of Phoenix or the Phoenix Municipal Court.
DO NOT REPLY TO ANY TEXT OR EMAIL, CLICK ANY LINK, ACCESS ANY QR CODE, OR VISIT ANY WEBSITE UNTIL YOU CAN VERIFY WHO THE SENDER IS.
For Phoenix Municipal Court cases, the Court will never seek, request, or demand payment by text or email. If you are unsure about any communication you have received seeking or demanding payment for a traffic violation or other offense claimed to be in the Phoenix Municipal Court, please call the Court at 602-262-6421.
Always question any phone call, text, or email that:
• Asks, requests, demands credit card numbers, debit card numbers, gift card numbers, bank routing numbers, or asks to wire transfer funds for any purpose.
• Asks, requests, demands payment through a pay app site such as Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Square, PayPal, etc.
• Asks, requests, demands any sensitive or personally identifying information like your date of birth or Social Security number.
