​The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) is a law to protect victims of domestic violence who are being evicted or have received a negative action by the landlord or the Section 8 program. Domestic Violence includes an act(s) of actual or threatened domestic violence, dating violence, or stalking against the tenant or an immediate member of the tenant's family.
