Phoenix Fire Department Launches Inaugural Holiday Food Drive to Support St. Mary’s Food Bank

With thousands of individuals and families across Arizona facing food insecurity each day, the Phoenix Fire Department has partnered with St. Mary’s Food Bank to kick off its inaugural Holiday Food Drive. The campaign aims to support local households ahead of the busy holiday season, when community need typically increases.

Phoenix Fire Chief Mike Duran: “We know the holidays can be a challenge for many community members. We are excited to launch our inaugural Holiday Food Drive and partner with St. Mary’s Food Bank. As firefighters, we always want to help whenever we can, however we can.”

Starting Saturday, December 6th through Friday, December 12th residents can donate non-perishable food items to help ease household food insecurity this holiday season

Suggested contributions include canned vegetables and fruits, peanut butter, canned proteins, boxed meals and cereals. Donors are asked to ensure all items are sealed and within their expiration dates.

Collection bins have been placed at eight fire stations across the city, offering convenient drop-off points for community members wishing to participate. This year’s designated locations include:
