The Office of Environmental Programs advances environmental protection and sustainability through coordination with City departments and the community.

The Office of Environmental Programs provides environmental compliance support, provides specialized training, coordinates with regulatory agencies, and develops programs and policies to guide City activities and the interaction of those activities with our urban and natural environment. 

GardenPHX Application Now Open!

Phoenix residents living in qualifying census tracts can apply to receive a free indoor garden system from Homer Farms. The system requires at least 4ft x 4ft of flat space indoors, and it is ideal for residents living in apartments, condos, or other types of multi-family housing.

The program is a six-month commitment, and participants will be provided with free training and resources on how to grow fresh produce and maintain their garden system.

Applications for indoor hydroponic garden system are open now and accepted on a rolling basis until April 2, 2026.
