We are excited to bring the market back after a year off! The Pueblo Grande Indian Art Market will take place on Saturday, December 11 & Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 9am – 4pm. Cost $5 (entrance to museum included) and the market is free to Indigenous peoples, military personnel (active and retired), Friends of Pueblo Grande Museum members, children twelve and below, front-line workers and first responders. Each year the Pueblo Grande Indian Market features an exemplary artist. This year 's featured artis is Native American artist Robert (Bob) Lansing, who specializes in pottery which features detailed etchings of animals combined with Native American designs. This year KiHim (O'odham word for village) will be featured along the trail by the pithouses and extend out past the compound area, where visitors can engage in many hands-on activities. We will also have the O'odham Food Market and our beloved Food vendors, Kettlicious Popcorn and Frybread with Linda Taylor (Hopi) who will be demonstrating piki bread making and offering samples to visitors to taste. ​The Desert West Community Center, located in the park of the same name, is a full-service, all ages community center that features a full-size gymnasium; a teen Room; a multi-Purpose Room that seats up to 300 people theater style; classrooms; and a fitness room.  The center also offers a wide range of classes, sports leagues and programs.
