The parade starts at Central and Montebello avenues (just south of Bethany Home Rd.), heads south to Camelback Rd., where it turns east to 7th St., where it turns south to the end point at Indian School Rd. An interactive parade route map and comprehensive event information is available at Phoenix.gov/ELP . Use the hashtag #PhxLightParade on social media to interact and stay informed. And, don't forget about the popular free pre-parade event on Friday, Dec. 6 from 530 to 8 p.m. at North Phoenix Baptist Church, 5757 N. Central Ave. This event is designed for families to see the floats close-up and participate in other holiday-themed activities, all while avoiding the large crowd on parade night.

On those days, the park’s main roadway will be closed to motor vehicle traffic at the one-mile mark into the park from 5 to 10 a.m. on the first, second, third and fifth Sunday; and from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. (park operating hours) on the fourth Sunday. During those times on those days, the park’s roadways are reserved for non-motorized activities such as walking, cycling, jogging, hiking, etc. On Silent Sunday, park visitors who would like to park near the main Central Ave. entrance can do so in the Activity Complex, which can be accessed just inside the entry gate and within proximity to several popular trails and the South Mountain Environmental Education Center . Trailheads not accessed via the main Central Ave. entrance are not impacted by the Silent Sunday closures. Learn more by visiting the South Mountain Park/Preserve webpage .

Hance Park, 67 W. Culver St. WalkPHX Wednesdays provides participants with a 3.2-mile loop through downtown and three city of Phoenix parks. After completing the route, participants are invited to purchase dinner from a rotating selection of food trucks, while socializing with others who also are looking for a fun way to stay fit. Participants are eligible to win weekly drawings for great prizes and FitPHX items. You don't have to participant in the WalkPHX Wednesdays walk/run to enjoy the food trucks. ​The Devonshire Senior Center is located in the city’s picturesque Los Olivos Park. The 23,000 sq. ft. center offers a fitness center, dance/exercise room, billiards room, meeting space and an art gallery. The Human Services Department offers nutritional and social services for older adults. The two departments also collaborate and a full host of activities and programs.
