Celebrate Independence Day

2013 Fabulous Fourth header 

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is offering four free, family friendly community eventsthroughout the city in 2014 where residents can celebrate Independence Day with friends and neighbors. Details on each event are listed below.

Friday, July 4th, 2014
Fabulous Phoenix 4th

6 to 10 p.m. Rain or Shine
Steele Indian School Park
3rd Street and Indian School Road

Those wanting to celebrate the nation's independence on the official holiday can join Fabulous Phoenix 4th event in central Phoenix.

This free, family event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. at Steele Indian School Park in central Phoenix and features two stages of live local entertainment, inflatable rides and activities for purchase in our Kids Zone, a Classic Car exhibit, a "Splash Zone" area where participants can cool off, and a spectacular Patriotic Program. The fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m. Visitors also can purchase food from more than 50 food and beverage vendors, and enjoy free community information booths and displays.

Star Spangled Summer Celebration -- This free south Phoenix event is held to honor fallen police officers, fire fighters, and veterans. Event details to come.

Light up the Sky FIreworks Show 

Thursday, July 3

Light Up the Sky � An annual favorite at Maryvale Baseball Park, this event will feature inflatables for the kids, community organization tables, games and activities on the field and much more. The highlight of the program is the outstanding display of fireworks that concludes the event.  Only unopened water bottles will be allowed inside of the stadium.
