Projects in Progress
Heat Resilience Efforts
Thanks to the voter-approved GO Bond, Phoenix is expanding its programs to mitigate urban heat and increase thermal comfort and safety, with an emphasis on tree planting, built shade, reflective surfaces, and green stormwater infrastructure. Projects prioritize City facilities, infrastructure, and right-of-way in places where residents are more vulnerable to heat-related hazards.
