ResilientPHX
ResilientPHX was developed by the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) VISTAs in 2016. The program was launched to acknowledge that community resilience is an issue of urgent concern and one that grows in importance each year. OEM is aware that all types of disasters and emergencies, both human-caused and natural, can affect Phoenix employees, families, those with access and functional needs, and others with disabilities, and surrounding communities. Whole communities are impacted and experience the effects before, during, and after significant events occur. ResilientPHX is focused on educating the community, city employees, community partners, and other stakeholders on ways they can prepare for, respond to, and recover from known and unknown threats and hazards. ResilientPHX strives to increase resilience in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
