Heat Response Plan
Each year, the Office of Heat Response and Mitigation creates a Heat Response Plan for the summer ahead.
The plan details the programs and services that Phoenix delivers to residents and visitors to prevent illness, death, and other serious and immediate adverse health outcomes associated with indoor and outdoor heat exposure.
2026 Heat Response Plan
The 2026 Heat Response Plan contains 23 specific heat response actions organized into eight broad strategies for the summer. Strategies and actions are designed based on analysis of health impact data, stakeholder input, and new capacity to support the heat response mission from multiple departments and agencies.
