District 8 Summer Free Pool Admission Kickoff

Today, Vice Mayor Kesha Hodge Washington announced a new “Summer Swim in D8” initiative, providing free weekend open swim admission to all District 8 Pools for the rest of the summer. This initiative will provide families with an opportunity to cool off on Saturdays and Sundays for free.

“‘Summer Swim in D8’ is all about bringing our community together and celebrating our neighborhoods by making our pools more accessible and more affordable than ever,” said Phoenix Vice Mayor Kesha Hodge Washington.

This initiative ensures that every resident has access to safe, fun, and welcoming spaces to cool off this summer. The Vice Mayor is also providing 200 free swim lessons for District 8 residents.

District 8 Pools are opening six days a week (closed Fridays) through July 26. Eastlake Pool will be open weekends through Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 5-7) for open swim.

• Saturdays: 12 PM – 6 PM
• Sundays: 12 PM – 6 PM

• El Prado Pool — 6428 S. 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85041
• Harmon Pool — 1425 S. 5th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003
• Hermoso Pool — 5749 S. 20th St, Phoenix, AZ 85040
• Perry Pool — 3131 E. Windsor Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85008
• Pierce Pool — 2150 N. 46th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008

Pierce Pool will close on July 29 but will reopen during a larger celebration planned for the full park reopening on August 22. Save the date and watch out for more details on this event!
