Contact Civic Space Park

Phoenix provides residents and visitors with more than 41,000 acres of desert parks and mountain preserve land. This includes more than 200 miles of trails and 185 parks. There are 32 community and recreation centers and eight golf courses. Thousands of people can cool off in 29 pools and learn to swim each summer. Classes, programs and sports leagues help kids and adults learn, stay active and just have fun.

Civic Space Park, at 424 N. Central Ave., in downtown Phoenix, is among those. The park is open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. A splash pad operates the last Saturday in May through September.

Civic Space Park has many amenities. They include a landmark public sculpture by artist Janet Echelman, shade structures, extensive grassy areas and benches. The historic A.E. England building provides space for meetings, presentations, small banquets, and other events.
