About the Project​

​The City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department is proposing an update to the parking and bike lanes on Maryland Avenue from 35th Avenue to the frontage road of Interstate-17. 

If approved, the timeline for the project would be fall 2022. ​

Project Details

The department is proposing three options for this area:

  1. Option A: Keep the current design on Maryland Avenue.
  2. Option B: Update Maryland Avenue to allow for continuous bike lanes and reduced on-street parking.
  3. Option C: Update Maryland Avenue to allow for continuous bike lanes with buffers and restrict almost all on-street parking, offering very little on-street parking.​
