The Annual MLK Jr. Awards Breakfast Program is a collaboration of the Phoenix Commission on Human Relations and the Arizona Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee, a partnership of the City of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department and Arizona OIC.
The awards program honors the accomplishments of Phoenix area residents, including youth, who contribute significantly to creating a compassionate and socially just community through their dedication to human and civil rights.
With the support of the City of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department, The Human Relations Commission's MLK Jr. Awards Selection Committee; made up of Commissioners and volunteers that oversee the selection process for the "Calvin C. Goode Lifetime Achievement" and the "MLK Jr. Living the Dream" awards.
