A training class from the Planning & Development Department is required prior to approval as a self-certified professional.
Please register as early as possible. Classes will be cancelled if a minmum number of registrants is not met

Self Certification Renewal
Half-day class, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Classes will be held remotely via WebEx.
$150 fee. No discount for additional registrants from same firm.
Building and Parking Lot Plans
Two-day class, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (seperate for part of day 1). Classes will be held remotely via WebEx.
$1,500 fee. Additional registrants from same firm -$750.
Landscape and Parking Lot Plans
One day class, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (seperate for part of day) Classes will be held remotely via WebEx.
$500 fee. No discount for additional registrants from same firm. -$250
Grading and Drainage (G&D)/Stormwater Management and Parking Lot Plans
One day class, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (seperate for part of day) Classes will be held remotely via WebEx.
$500 fee. No discount for additional registrants from same firm. -$250
Structural Peer Reviewers
Two-hour class, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Classes will be held remotely via WebEx.
$250 fee. No discount for additional registrants from same firm.
Electrical Peer Reviewers
Two-hour class, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Classes will be held remotely via WebEx.
$250 fee. No discount for additional registrants from same firm.
Please register as early as possible to confirm your place in the class. Classes for new participants to the program are scheduled two times per year; April and October. Renewal classes are offered four times per year.
Payment is not required for registration. But it must be received by the date listed above. Additional registrations from the same firm are charged half rate.
To pay by credit card over the phone (recommended method of payment), call the Payments and Submittals Counter directly at 602-534-5934 or use the Self Certification Credit Card Authorization Form (PDF). Follow the instructions at the top of the form to fax, mail or call in your information. The fax machine is dedicated and secure. To make a payment by check, mail your check and a copy of your registration submittal. Send it to: Planning & Development Department, Attn: Zoe Harrington, 200 W. Washington St., 3rd Floor, Phoenix, Arizona 85003. Note: if you are mailing your payment, please allow at least one additional week for internal sorting.
