About the Project

The City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department is proposing an update to the parking, driving and bike lanes on 3rd Avenue from Indian School Road to Camelback Road.

If approved, the timeline for the project would be fall 2022.

Project Details

The department is proposing three options for this area:

  1. Option A: Keep the current design on 3rd Avenue.
  2. Option B: Update 3rd Avenue to allow for continuous bike lanes and on-street parking allowed in some places.
  3. Option C: Update 3rd Avenue to allow for continuous bike lanes with buffers in some places. Restrict almost all on-street parking.
