Designed by Will Bruder Architects, Burton Barr Central Library offers Phoenix, families and individuals access to their choice of information, knowledge and connection to resources.<br></p> <p style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium;">“This library is loved by Phoenix residents and visitors from across the country and the world,” said Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. “Burton Barr Central Library has been a Phoenix treasure through great change and development in our city, and it will continue to serve as a timeless community pillar.”</p> <p style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium;">“The Twenty-five Year Award showcases buildings that set a precedent. The award is conferred on a building that has stood the test of time for 25-35 years and continues to set standards of excellence for its architectural design and significance.” (American Institute of Architects) Serving as a community hub for life-long learning; education, career readiness, entrepreneurial, social/civic engagement, trusted research, community collaboration and entertainment platforms and programing are available to all ages. Burton Barr Central Library is a landmark on the Phoenix skyline and an icon of late 20th century modern architecture.
