The city of Phoenix is working with the consulting firm Lee Engineering to develop a citywide bikeway master plan. Working with community groups and residents, the city will document all existing bicycling infrastructure, and propose a set of projects to expand the system, create connectivity across the city and with neighboring communities.
In October, public meetings will be held to provide opportunities for input into proposed projects in the plan. Interested residents will also be able to use a Wikimap feature to outline cycling routes they use to travel to and from major Phoenix destinations, areas where they would like to see new routes added, and any barriers to traveling via bicycle in the city.
